Our Story

Beausoleil was founded in 1994 by Helmut and Lukas, who bought a plot of land with the intention of setting up a small and charming guest house.
The idea of The Lavenders was born some years ago when we developed a passion for planting herbs in our garden.

Our love of gardening and the outdoors, along with our desire for a change of lifestyle led us to create The Lavenders. Together we planted 8000 lavender plants and with an enormous amount of help of our farm team, made our dreams come true.

From the start, we knew this wouldn’t be easy. We were starting from scratch and learning as we went along. From mounding up the first 18 rows that are 80 meters long to laying weed mats and using a brush cutter to clear a field of weeds in the blistering summer sun – these were just a few of the back-breaking, body-aching jobs our farm team handled.

Now those initial challenges seem like a distant memory as we move from strength to strength.
Our goal is to make exceptional lavender products that our customers can enjoy every day and to spread the word about what a groovy plant lavender really is.
